Thoughts, to the degree we have any...

Sitting patiently, thinking of something to write about. Okay. Inspiration for songs is interesting. Paul McCartney tells the story of Yesterday coming to him in a dream. He liked the tune, figured out the chords on the piano, and sang "scrambled eggs" until he came up with the lyrics for "yesterday." One thing about song inspirations is that they are fleeting. You could get a good one while driving and lose it by the time you got home. So, we make a practice of using our phones to record ideas as soon as we get them. So far, no traffic accidents as a result of frenzied phone activity behind the wheel. I think Michael is really good at both melodies and lyrics. He thinks I'm a nice guy.
